Your shape is Diamond
Shine bright π The diamond is a beautiful, unique and varied shape. Some Diamonds have strong shoulders and a large chest; some have a smaller bust and willowy arms.
What most Diamonds have in common (and what separates them from Arrows and Hearts) is slender hips, bum and legs relative to their torso.
Your Quick Hit Fit List
Before we look at your go-to (and not-so-go-to) pieces, can I set the record straight once and for all?
I donβt want your clothes to βflatterβ you π ββοΈ I want them to *fit* you
πFit β flatter (aka βDo I look good in this?)
πFit = function (aka βIs this garment doing its job?β)
Wearing clothes that donβt fit well (i.e. they arenβt doing their job) is something way too many women settle for. They chalk it up to clothes not flattering them rather than clothes not doing their job.
Thatβs why the following recommendations are split into go-toβs vs. fits that likely wonβt work hard enough for you.
This is not a βwear this not thatβ list.
This is your permission slip to only wear clothes that work hard enough for you.
Your go-to pieces
-
Anything that's fitted under the bust and floats away from the body, like an empire waist, A-line skirt or wrap dress
-
Tapered, straight or wide-leg pants that skim the hip and drape to the floor
-
Tops that hit high on hip; look for Substantial fabrics that skim the body, like linen and chambray
-
Wider straps that help balance the width of your shoulders and support your chest
-
Tailored blazers, coats or jackets with a hint of stretch that hit at the upper- or mid-hip
Fits that donβt work hard enough
-
Clingy, thin or stretchy fabrics, like jersey
-
Spaghetti straps are often disproportionate to gorgeous, strong shoulders (and make it tough to wear the proper bra)
-
Oversized jackets, sweaters and drop shoulders that add volume to your top half
-
Skinny jeans and pencil skirts that make your hips appear disproportionately narrower than your top half

Meet your stylist
Hi, hello! Iβm Daniella.
Iβm wife to Jon and mama to Stratton and Millie June. When Iβm not chasing littles and our border collie, Pippa, youβll find me reading BrenΓ© Brown or saving hair tutorials that Iβll never try.
I wholeheartedly believe that building a wardrobe that empowers your day is a critical, but all-too-often overlooked, form of self-care.βAfter all, getting dressed in the morning can be one of the most stressful or most uplifting parts of our day. How are you waking up?
I've helped everyone from SAHMs and CEOs to teachers and young professionals find more space (in their closets and brains) and more confidence (in their outfits and lives).
I can't wait to help you create your oh-THIS-is-what-getting-dressed-should-be-like wardrobe so you always know what to wear today.
